Naruto Anime Series

The Naturo Anime Series

Easily one of the most popular, and quite possibly the best anime series, the Naruto anime series is the first thing that tends to come to peoples lips when they ask about a good anime series to watch. It’s been around for a long time and the manga series along with it, both of which are still going. The stories contained in many vary from the real to the fantasy world, the feudal past to the technological future. Many of these stories are told with an unusual amount of detail which is really admirable for any form of media. I first heard about Naruto from an anime expo and I watched the first episode out of sheer curiosity when I heard that it was the number one anime. I was not disappointed. I have been enamoured with the show and it’s characters for many years now and look forward to seeing each new episode.

Watching an Anime Series

Watching Anime

If you’re trying to decide the best anime series it might help if you know what anime is all about. Anime is short for animation. It hails from Japan and comes in many forms from shows aimed at children, like Hello, Kitty, to Adult shows. The categories are as expansive as American animation if not more so. They don’t have just humor they have different forms of humor. The categories are often broken down into age groups and which gender they are aimed toward. There are various anime series in each genre that can appeal to most tastes. Some of the most recent Anime series that have been popular have been Fullmetal Alchemist, Deathnote, Fairytail, Bleach, One Piece, Naruto, and Inuyasha. The most popular being in fantasy magic related series. There’s a massive range of types of anime series however, you might well be surprised with what’s available.

You can find a lot of places to watch your favorite anime series and find new ones. There are even places where everyone is more than willing to share their favorite shows. It isn’t just shows that are from the past five years that have been popular. There are shows from the 80s that still amuse and entertain us. One show in particular is Slayers. Any kind of anime you like, you can find a series dedicated to it somewhere. Even if you can’t find the exact thing you’re looking for you can find one similar.

anime seriesAnime fans have a distinct sub-culture all their own, similar to Star Trek fans and Star Wars fans. These fans go to conventions and organize anime marathons at various places. You can find postings at libraries, stores and around the internet. These are great places to find people of similar tastes to you. You will have to wary as some of these people can be not just odd, but have serious fetishes. Most of them are harmless and really fun to be around. You can find great friends and people that you can tell your favorite things to, or share a general love all things Japan. It doesn’t take much to get into anime. Some people love it and some people hate it. You can keep it as a little secret and only satisfy it online or go out and seek other anime fans.

The Evolution of an Anime Series

Anime has come a long way over the years, becoming more and more realistic in its own way. Some people might say it has gone too far with shows like Lotte No Omocha!, but others enjoy the stretching of the boundaries. There have been a lot of heated disputes over the year about things in anime and if it was moral to have them available. Despite this, people have continued watching every show that entertained them.

The book form of Anime is Manga. This is almost more popular than the animated form. More anime series come in the form of manga than a tv series. It offers often more chapter or episodes, sneak peeks, and more artwork than if it was a dvd or anime show.

No matter what you use anime for, it is a growing sub-culture. Whether you love or hate, watch it for personal reasons or let your children watch it for educational purposes. It is here and here to stay. Controversial and tame anime has been put on the map. TV stations like Cartoon Network as picked up the ball and gone with it. For that they have earn a greater following. Anime is loved by all generations of all kinds. It has anime series for just about everyone. You can find one you’re looking for, too.

Best Animes

The Best Animes

best animes reviewsThe best animes we review come in two different forms. Firstly there’s the best anime series shows to watch and the list of best movies to watch. Sometimes (like with the better anime shows) the two inter-lap with the best anime series shows getting their own movie. There are hundreds (at least) of anime shows to choose from and rating them is pretty hard. It can be hard to rate them considering different people like different things and preferences come into it so we’ll do our best to review the more popular anime’s and rate them based on popularity.

Each anime review we look at has a bit of a blurb about the series or movie (without spoilers we’re very careful about that). We include reviews from multiple other people and a trailer video so you have an idea of what the anime series is like. We don’t host any of the anime videos here ourselves but each series has a link to where you can get it online.

Tell Us About Your Best Animes

If we haven’t reviewed an anime you think deserves to be on the list then make sure we know about it! We all know what it’s like to watch an under appreciated show and the more support you get for the series the longer they can run for. If you think there’s an anime series we haven’t reviewed or one we haven’t given enough credit to? Let us know about it! Every anime series review has a comment box below it and we welcome your thoughts and opinions on each review. We also have the contact page (you can see the link down at the bottom) which allows you to suggest the best animated series and even submit your own reviews if you like.

We always want to keep adding to our list of anime shows so even if you just want to give us a name we’re happy to do the rest of the work. One user sent in a video review of his best anime series shows and we’re going to do our best to review each and every one – but remember a lot of it is down to personal preference.

Get the Best Animes

We’re not a copyright breaking stream site and we don’t support any that are. You won’t find any links for that kind of thing here. We do link to sites which give you an opportunity to either watch it legally online or get the DVD set so you can watch it from home. If you enjoy a series you should always try and support it by watching it legally. This is what allows shows to continue.

So check out our top 5 rated best anime series list on the top right and you’ll always find our updated anime reviews on the homepage. There’s the list of best movies to watch page (with anime movies we personally suggest seeing) but the best animes which are going to suit you are ones which appeal to you. So we do our best to suggest related animes so if you like one – you’ll like the other. Follow the reviews and get an idea for what you might like, it never hurts to find a new show and you might just find yourself a new favorite.

All of the best animes we review will be available in some form online, we’ll never give you a good looking show you can’t watch.

Best Anime Series

Best Anime Series

Hello and thanks for dropping my the bestanimeseries.org! It’s probably safe to assume you’re looking for the best anime series but there’s just one problem we find with that.

There’s really no such thing.

With so much personal choice and factors which can affect what you, as an individual, think about a specific anime series there can’t really be one best. So what we’ve done rather than take our favorite is round up some of the best animes around (as in some of the more popular ones) and reviewed them to give you an idea of what they’re about. Hopefully this will help you find something you like.

If we don’t have an anime on the list and you were expecting to see your favorite anime here then get in touch with us through the contact page. What were you expecting? Is it something you think everyone should know about? Send us a review yourself and we’ll post it up to get the anime some more exposure! We’ve a couple of thousand visitors a month so you’ll be sharing your favorite anime series with enough people to help it become more popular.

The Best Anime Series

best anime seriesEach one of our anime reviews gives a basic idea of the storyline. We try not to give too much away and we always avoid any kind of spoilers (it wouldn’t be so great if we give away the ending would it?). We’ll show you a clip or two and compare it to other similar animies so if you like Trigun for example you’ll like this as well! You’ll find our top 5 best animated series list on the top right of every page and from our best anime series homepage you’ll see our latest reviews from the top down.

You might, from time to time, see some that are low rated. This doesn’t exactly mean you won’t like them – it’s just that we’ve found a fault with the series or a reason not to watch it. We try to avoid this as much as possible however and find something suitable for everyone. There’s a lot of anime seasons out there which are great so there’s no reason to focus too heavily on ones which give us a reason not to like them. ‘Tough but fair’ is our approach to reviews. We want to try and help people find some of the best animes around and there’s plenty to pick from.

We don’t look at reading Manga online or anime movies (although we might mention them from time to time if an anime series has a movie for example). We might mention a manga series if one exists but our key focus is an animated series or anime series.

There’s no one best anime series and if we only suggested the one – well we’d probably be letting a lot of people down. A small percentage of people would get something they actually want to see. Anime, more so than any TV series, has so many variations. Some people prefer more of an action anime series like Trigun or Gundam while others might prefer something more along the lines of Death Note or Naruto.

We’re not supported or paid by any anime director or studio. This means we don’t have to focus on any specific anime series and we’re free to focus on finding the best and the most popular. We can review whatever anime we like and suggest whatever we think people will enjoy the most. Sometimes we’ll look at more popular shows and other times we might dig up a treasure or two that few people might know about – but there’s some great animes around.

Get the Best Anime Series

We do not support piracy. If you’re here looking for a free stream then quite frankly put we hate you. The companies who create these shows rely on people actually watching them properly to keep going. If everyone just downloaded their favorite anime series then not only would they go broke – but they’d stop making them. The best animation series would become something drawn by a five year old in crayon because that’s all they could afford.

If you really want to watch the best anime series then you should look out for it showing legally on the television or legally online. All of our reviews link to the anime DvD on Amazon or to their direct video streaming service. It’s cheap but it supports the makers to keep new episodes coming, and you get proper full quality copy. That’s the only way to get some of the best anime series.

Anime Series Invasion

The Great Anime Series Invasion

If you’ve never watched an anime series, you might be confused by the growing popularity of such shows. Don’t let the fact that they are animated cartoons fool you. These shows aren’t just for kids; some of the best-known and best loved anime series are for a strictly mature audience. I’m not talking about tentacled monsters and their improbable exploits of scantily clad girls, however. In the past twenty years, Japan has produced many anime series which can and do rival live-action dramas, police procedural, thrillers, and sci-fi epics available on Western television.

One of the most popular forms of entertainment in its native Japan, anime covers the entire storytelling spectrum, from sweet and innocent children’s programming to gory, violent and depraved series that would make even Dexter Morgan blush. Most anime series fall in between these two extremes however, and almost every genre that is depicted in live action television shows is represented in the plethora of anime series as well. In fact, the flexibility of animation allows show creators to dream up environments and worlds that would be nearly impossible to build in the real world, and the expressive, adaptive, and endlessly imaginative media of animation has given rise to several shows that are, quite simply put, works of art.

Watching an Anime Series

For people who haven’t seen Anime before it might be a little strange at first. It’s not exactly the same as watching your Average American sitcom TV show because the culture difference… well they’re different. It’s kind of hard to explain if you watch a few Animes you’ll see a lot of differences between you average sitcom and an Anime series. It’s not that one is necessairly better than the other it’s more that by using cartoon animation the creators can be a little bit more creative and flexible.

So if you’re watching Anime for the first time, or trying to introduce it to someone then the best Anime series is one which isn’t as ‘out there’. Something like Trigun is generally a good start since it’s easy to follow but has a strong story line and quality animation. It also starts of a lot closer to your average sitcom and grows further into Sci-Fi as the Anime series progresses.

For newcomers to anime and well-versed aficionados alike, Cowboy Bebop is a visual and auditory treat, and is one of the best examples of using animation to create visual landscapes that are – quite literally – out of this world. Set in the relatively near future, this series follows the lives of a handful of perpetually broke bounty hunters as they hunt down fugitives across the solar system. It’s fast paced but character driven, and is equal parts comedy and deeply introspective drama, backed by a soundtrack that’s quite simply brilliant. Newcomers to anime will find that the story is accessible, and that the plot is entertaining enough to hold their interest, even if they are at times presented with ideas or concepts that seem a little foreign.

Another anime series that has found a large and receptive audience outside of Japan is the crime thriller Death Note. Once again, the audience is presented with certain situations and cultural ideas that may seem odd to a Western viewer, but that is soon forgotten as they’re drawn into a tense one-on-one battle of wits between an unusual police investigator and the serial killer he is investigating. This is not a whodunit, though. Rather than a series of clues that lead to the unmasking of a sinister villain, this show is more often about the choices that character make and the impact of those choices rather than the characters themselves.

Finding an Anime Series

There are of course an endless number of other fantastic series available to the curious but uninitiated viewer to watch, and with the growth of sites like Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming video services, it is becoming easier for a Western audience to find and enjoy the vast array of offerings from Japan. And though the anime section of your favorite video rental store or online streaming site may contain a lot of badly written, poorly made, predictable, and even boring anime series, the same could be said of any live action genre. However, as any fan of anime can tell you there are countless gems out there as well, and an anime series for everyone.
